Let’s fall back in love with Vanilla!

Vanilla ‘anything’ is nearly always better.

People have become so bloody complicated these days by insisting on chocolate swirls, strawberry & banana blasts and mint lemon meltdowns. They have forgotten how lovely vanilla is.

I’m convinced the reason life is so complicated is because we make it so. Our planet can be summed up as millions of humans running around like headless chickens stressed about silly things more often than not started by them. Gee aren’t we such an accomplished race!

Let’s fall in love with Vanilla again. No more of this hoity-toity nonsense about stressing over the small stuff or sitting for hours on end with endless to-do lists. No more excessive tarty detail in our wardrobes and living rooms. No more selective nursing for babies or convoluted education plans.

Let’s take life as it comes.

I wonder how many people can even remember the virgin taste of vanilla as it pops on your tongue, eager tastebuds embracing the simplicity?

No cheating here. That includes the green sauce, the red sauce, the choc flake and dips of any sort!

  1. Good one Jen. Hear Hear! for good old missionary-position rumpy-pumpy too.

    • "missionary-position rumpy-pumpy"? What's that then? Never heard of it. Wikipedia link?

    • HA HA agreed OC! Missionary-position rumpy-pumpy here we come! Whoops 🙂

    • Regular down-home, no-frills, no-contortionist hoochie-coochie Greg.

  2. Touché Jen!

Vanilla rules! So long as it hasn't got Ice after it 🙂

    • Gee Greg, Vanilla Ice is so OLD SCHOOL 😉

    • Someone needs to tell Castle Lite that!

    • "Old School" is how Greg rolls. Very old!

  3. I like Vanilla Ice, he was cool. Vanilla ice cream with a shot of JACK, now that makes a good Jackpedro.

You all just boring, spike the VANILLA theme a bit, it adds to the enjoyment! I'm glad Jen made a post again though, even if it means plain old vanilla

    • Kevin…I am so glad to be back here too 🙂

I love the alcohol suggestion. YUMMY

  4. Absolutely agreed.

Besides, there's few things more pleasurable in life than a fresh, home made vanilla crème brulee 🙂 Who says things need to be complicated when simple is often best?

    • Monty you have now made me so LUS for vanilla crème brulee. Must maintain pure thoughts…didn't go on the treadmill 40 minutes this morning for nothing 🙂

  5. It must be the job getting to me, I thought you were talking about the one and only Vanilla Ice. I'll be backstage for that one in a town near you very soon.

But getting back to your post, I totally agree with you. There is nothing wrong with enjoying life in its simplest form without all the other little things ads/magazines/the Jones's tells us we need.
