  1. I swear i’ve waited all my life for this! It’s been an amazing day… Really really super amped! 🙂

    • awesomenesss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! guess i’ll c u there pixie!

  2. Does anybody know how the seating plan looks like, and whats the price for each seating section.
Like the one you had on your site for the U2 360 concert….?

    • Hi Chris

As soon as the info is available, we’ll put it all into English-sense-speak and slap it onto BlaBla for you. Just did a quick check around and there is no detailed seating plans or ticket allocation info yet. Stay tuned!

  3. This lack of info is starting to get worrying/annoying. We all know computicket’s site is gonna crash at 8:55am tomorrow, the least they could do is lighten the load somewhat by putting up seating plans/prices now…

  4. Hi, I just found this on the internet and was wondering if it’s true?

“The Cape Town Stadium leg takes place on October 5. Golden Circle tickets will cost R665, while general admission will be R415. In the seated areas, tickets will range between R265 and R565.

The FNB Stadium Johannesburg leg takes place on October 8. Golden Circle tickets will cost R665, and general admission will be R440. In the seated areas, tickets will range between R265 and R565.”

    • Seems to match the info and details on the Big Concerts FB page that Graeme has linked to, so looks legit enough.

If there is no stadium seating plans up on Computickets’ site soon I’m going to try fashion a couple using the block numbers they’ve provided in the BC note.

Check back here later tonight or early am tomorrow.

  5. Ticket info has just been loaded onto the Computicket website but the seating plan is not yet available.

    • Big up & thanks to Yuri, KP and Graeme for the updates, links and info.

I’ll dig through the details and see if we can put some sort of seating plan together asap.

  6. I can’t believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Coldplay!!! God I swear I’m gonna be there!!! After U2 my next one is Coldplay!!! I’m walking on the moon!! Still don’t know Cape Town or Jo’burg???

  7. Is there any available tickets left? 🙂

    • what tickets you looking for? got three friend that wont be able to make it

  8. I can’t decide either Valerie, CPT or Jozi? I’ve waited all my life for this concert!!!! *super stoked*

  9. Come to DBN panzies. All the good stuff always happens in CPT and JHB….

  10. Hi 🙂 Does anyone know what songs Cold play will be singing or how i can find out 🙂 ?!x

    • Hi Kristin

Normally, most bands keep their setlists quiet until the actual concert, but there are a number of ways that we can use to get at least a pretty good idea of the songs that’ll make it to our stage.

      Here’s my ideas:

      Introduction (Back To The Future)
      MX
      Hurts Like Heaven
      Yellow
      In My Place
      Major Minus
      Lost!
      The Scientist
      Shiver
      Violet Hill
God Put A Smile Upon Your Face
      Everything’s Not Lost
      Us Against The World
      Politik
      Viva La Vida
      Charlie Brown
      Life Is For Living

      ENCORE
      Clocks
      Rehab (Amy Winehouse Cover)
      Fix You
      Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall

How awesome am I? I even guessed that they’ll do a little Amy Winehouse cover! Awesome to the max!

Actually, not really awesome at all 🙂

That list is the concert order and setlist from the last CP show at Lollapalooza in Chicago from early August. Normally, previous concerts are a pretty good indication of what we can expect.

Two small things that may change the setlist, but only slightly: All of CP’s concerts leading up to their SA shows are at festival events and are not headline shows. Also, it’s the first time they’re performing in SA, so they may throw in a little extra for us.

Best info source for setlists from a range of artists is Setlist.FM (www.setlist.fm)
Here’s the Coldplay Lollapalooza list on Setlist.
For Coldplay only setlist info (with a lot more info on each show too, including reviews, photos, etc.) you should also visit the Coldplay Wiki site – Here’s their entry for Lollapalooza.

      Have fun!

    • Someone has to say it seeing as Kirstin didnt come back to say it so here you go:

You Sir are a bloody frikken legend!!

      • And you Sir, are very kind to say so. :]

  11. What is included in the VIP tickets for R665 in the business lounge?

    • Hi Kevin

You referring to the R665.00 : Business Lounge Blocks 401 to 403 & 430 to 432 tickets in Cape Town?

I’m gonna assume that’s the one’s you’re looking at because the FNB stadium Suite Seats are R1,665!

Can’t find anything specific about the extras involved in the Business Lounge tickets to be honest. You don’t get much extra for the extra R1,000 in Joburg:

      “Gold Club: R1665.00 Per Person, Blocks: 235A, 235, 201
      The Ticket will include:
      Concert ticket
      Welcome drink
Snacks and cash bar will be available
      Parking ticket NOT included”

Also, Golden Circle Standing at both venues costs the same (R665) and that’s just entrance, so I wouldn’t expect much more than access to a cash bar and toilets close by if I were you.

To be sure, you may want to drop an quick email to the nice folk at Big Concerts: info@bigconcerts.co.za or via a post on their FB page here: http://www.facebook.com/bigconcerts?sk=wall

(I see what I think is you having left a question on the Coldplay ticket wall post over there already, but that’s a really old post. I’d recommend copying your question to a new post at the top of their Wall. They’re more likely to respond to you there. But do the email thing too anyway as well.)

If you do manage to get some sort of clarity, we’d appreciate it if you’d drop back past here and let other know too.

      Enjoy the show!!

    • Got emailed follow ups from Kevin. Thanks for coming back to us!

      Tue 2011/09/13 12:04 AM
Thanks for the quick email! It is the Cape Town concert I was wondering about. I am coming from the US for a conference that week in Cape Town and thought of going to see it in the evening.
      Thank you!
      Kevin

And then this one a moment or two ago:

      Tue 2011/09/13 05:51 PM
I got an email back from Eva Mateyaat computicket (evam@computicket) and she copied Sheldon Jacobs (sheldonj@computicket.com) and Tania Peach (taniap@computicket.com).
Not too much info, but they say the R665 tickets are sold out, but only included 1 welcome drink and snacks while there would be a cash bar available. The cost does not include parking.
The same is true of the R 1650 ticket for Johannesburg.
      Cheers,
      Kevin

Nice to hear that you got a response, not so nice to hear that there are no tickets for you.
