It’s Old Mutual Music in the Gardens time again, and the series is kicking off June with a Sunday Afternoon concert featuring one of South Africa’s leading acoustic pop/rock groups: Watershed.
Sunday 12 June: Watershed at Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden, Johannesburg
SA’s leading acoustic rock and pop group Watershed has a string of platinum and gold albums and awards to its name. In 2003 they won the Best Pop Album SAMA for their debut album Wrapped in a Stone.
A decade after their first release album, Watershed had taken a giant leap in 2010 by performing at the prestigious South by Southwest festival in Austin Texas, Canadian Music Week, amongst numerous other festivals in Europe. To date they have racked up more international releases for their studio albums. The band are recently returned from North America where they performed after being selected to play at the prestigious South By Southwest Festival (SXSW) in Austin, Texas as well as the Canadian Music week in Toronto, Canada.
