2011 Academy Awards – All the Oscar Winners

oscaranne-james oscar hostThe 83rd Annual Academy Awards have just concluded after a glittering ceremony in Hollywood. Hosted by the gorgeous Anne Hathaway and the equally attractive James Franco, this years’ ceremony produced no major surprises and seemed to run effortlessly.

A great opening sequence which had the hosts recreating scenes from the movie of the year nominees (and a couple of other classic films too) ultimately saw them arriving on stage in the Back to the Future DeLorean.

Big winner on the night looks to be The King’s Speech with Oscars for Motion Picture of the Year, Best Actor for Colin Firth, Director for Tom Hooper and Writing for David Seidler.

Natalie Portman collected the statue for Best Actress for her Black Swan turn, whilst The Fighter produced the both male and female Supporting Actor winners in Christian Bale and Melissa Leo.

Other major winners for most of the more technical awards (editing, sound, costumes, etc.) included The Social Network, Inception, Toy Story 3 and Alice in Wonderland.
